Accounting and Finance at Wenzhou-Kean University
Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU)

About the Program
Program Overview
Build the financial expertise that organisations rely on to measure performance, manage risk and make confident decisions. Wenzhou-Kean University offers English-taught Accounting and Finance degrees for international students who want professional business skills with global relevance.
Choose Accounting to focus on financial reporting, auditing, taxation and accounting systems, or Finance to study investments, corporate finance and international financial markets. Successful graduates receive bachelor’s degrees from both Wenzhou-Kean University and Kean University in the United States.
Turn financial knowledge into professional opportunity
Every organisation needs people who can understand financial information and use it responsibly. WKU helps students build analytical ability, commercial awareness and professional communication skills while learning through a U.S. business curriculum taught entirely in English.
You will study in Wenzhou, one of China’s best-known entrepreneurial cities, while developing skills that can support careers in international companies, accounting firms, banks, investment businesses, government organisations or postgraduate education.
Choose the pathway that matches your career goals
Accounting — Bachelor of Science
Learn how organisations record transactions, prepare financial statements, evaluate performance and communicate financial results. The curriculum covers principles of accounting, computerised accounting systems, intermediate and advanced accounting, cost accounting, taxation, international accounting, auditing and business law.
Students also develop skills in financial-statement analysis, accounting information systems and the use of digital information in business processes. The program includes financial accounting for commercial organisations as well as government, education, healthcare and other non-profit settings.
The Accounting program carries CPA Australia accreditation, adding professional relevance for students who may pursue accountancy qualifications after graduation. Career directions include accounting, auditing, taxation, financial reporting, compliance, consulting and corporate finance.
Finance — Bachelor of Science
Understand how companies raise capital, evaluate investments and operate within international financial markets. The program combines corporate finance, international business finance, investment and portfolio management, financial derivatives, financial institutions and markets, and financial-statement analysis.
You will also build quantitative skills through economics, econometrics and financial analysis. The curriculum develops the ability to analyse information, assess risk, forecast financial outcomes and form strategies for modern financial challenges.
Finance graduates can pursue opportunities in banking, securities, funds, asset management, financial leasing, investment analysis, government organisations and entrepreneurial ventures.
Learn with professional financial technology
Finance students gain access to WKU’s Bloomberg Lab and Wharton Research Data Services. Bloomberg terminals are integrated into the finance curriculum, allowing students to work with real-time and historical market information, analyse companies, assess economic conditions and practise investment decision-making.
The Finance program also incorporates Bloomberg Market Concepts training into its core study. Accounting students use business databases and digital accounting resources to strengthen research, financial analysis and technology-supported decision-making.
Build practical and international business skills
Both degrees combine specialist financial study with a wider business foundation in economics, management, information technology, statistics, communication and business strategy. Projects, analysis and research help students apply classroom knowledge to realistic organisational and market questions.
Learning in English alongside an international academic community helps you become comfortable explaining financial information across cultures. Students can also explore exchange opportunities at Kean University in the United States as part of their wider WKU experience.
