Your school pathway at a glance
School stages: Junior Kindergarten Prep through Grade 12.
Location: Jeju Global Education City, Seogwipo, Jeju Island, South Korea.
Teaching language: English is the main language of instruction. Language subjects form part of the multilingual curriculum.
Study options: Day school, with full-time or weekdays-only boarding available to eligible students from Grade 6.
Placement: Entry grade, study length and suitable starting point depend on previous schooling, assessment and available places. Boys’ and girls’ entry options differ by grade; ask Asia Pathway to check the appropriate route for your child.
Junior School: build curiosity from the beginning
JK Prep–Grade 5: the IB Primary Years Programme. Children learn through questions, exploration and collaboration, developing communication, problem-solving and confidence. Enrichment opportunities can include reading, mathematics, science, speech and coding activities. Junior School is a day-school pathway, so younger children need an appropriate family living arrangement.
Middle School: grow in confidence and independence
Grades 6–8: the IB Middle Years Programme. Students broaden their knowledge across languages, mathematics, sciences, individuals and societies, design, arts, and physical and health education. Interdisciplinary learning encourages them to connect ideas with real situations, while activities and service help them discover new strengths. Eligible students can also begin their boarding journey at this stage.
Senior School: prepare for the next step
Grades 9–10: complete the MYP. The Grade 10 Personal Project gives students an opportunity to investigate a personal interest and put independent learning into practice.
Grades 11–12: explore the IB Diploma Programme. The full diploma combines six subjects with Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity, Service. Students plan subjects around their strengths and future ambitions, supported by university counselling. Individual IB courses and school-course pathways may also be available; subject combinations and the appropriate graduation route are agreed with the school.
Make, perform, compete and contribute
There is more than one way to shine. Design learning brings together creativity and practical problem-solving, with opportunities involving robotics, technology and making. C.A.S.E.—Creativity, Action, Service and Enrichment—offers ways to pursue interests through activities such as music, theatre, debate, Model UN, sport and community projects. Activities vary by age, schedule and availability.
Connect with a wider world. Experiential learning can include service, outdoor challenges and international experiences such as the Grade 9 Branksome Hall Exchange with Toronto. Eligibility, arrangements and any additional costs require confirmation.
Boarding: independence with a supportive community
A school home with guidance close by. Residential Teacher Dons and Heads of House support boarding students through family-style groups, study guidance and pastoral care. Students can access facilities such as the library, swimming pool, ice rink, gym and fitness areas beyond the academic day, under school arrangements.
Choose the arrangement that fits your family. Full-time boarding and weekdays-only boarding are separate options. Weekdays-only students need an approved weekend living arrangement. Boarding places, eligible grades, holiday arrangements and arrival support must be confirmed before enrolment. Meals are charged separately.
Support for learning, wellbeing and university planning
A successful transition is personal. Multilingual learning, learning support and counselling help students participate in school life. The school reviews each student’s needs and its ability to provide the appropriate support. Senior School university counselling helps students explore interests, choose subjects and prepare applications; no particular admission or university outcome is guaranteed.
Tuition per semester — USD planning estimates
Plan with the complete tuition figure. The estimates below combine both required tuition components and are standard fees before any scholarship. They cover one semester of tuition, not the entire school pathway or a boarding package.
- JK Prep–Grade 5: approximately USD 15,160 per semester.
- Grades 6–10: approximately USD 16,960 per semester.
- Grade 11: approximately USD 17,960 per semester.
- Grade 12: approximately USD 18,540 per semester.
Boarding is additional. Full-time boarding is approximately USD 7,990 per semester; weekdays-only boarding is approximately USD 6,390 per semester. Meals and snacks are not included.
Other charges: Budget approximately USD 300 for the non-refundable application fee, USD 2,230 for the separate one-time school entrance fee, and USD 370 for the one-time entrance charge for new boarders. The non-refundable registration deposit of approximately USD 2,230 is credited towards tuition rather than added again.
Understand how the school bills. Tuition is invoiced as a Korean-won amount plus a US-dollar amount; both must be paid. USD estimates are rounded for planning and change with exchange rates. Uniforms, transport, certain textbooks, extended trips and optional activities may cost extra. Contact Asia Pathway for the current grade-specific quotation, payment terms and refund policy before committing.
Entry and application preparation
A thoughtful assessment of fit. Applications are reviewed individually using the relevant grade-level documents and assessment. Families may need identity documents, an English parent statement, school reports, a student profile and teacher recommendations. Grades 6–11 applicants submit official Duolingo English results and undergo mathematics assessment and an English interview; boarding applicants may need an additional interview. Overseas assessment can be arranged online through the school.
Start with the right entry point. Asia Pathway can help you check the applicable checklist, English readiness, grade placement and current availability. Do not assume Grade 12 transfer entry is available. Offers, boarding places and any scholarship are subject to the school’s assessment and confirmation.
