Four K-culture majors in one degree pathway
Students apply through the Department of Global Convergence Studies and later select one of the following K-Culture Studies majors. Asia Pathway can help you compare the four options and confirm the latest study plan before you apply.
Media & Video Production
Explore a pathway connected to contemporary visual storytelling and media production. This option may suit students interested in Korean screen content, digital media, video communication and the creative process behind content for modern audiences.
Taekwondo Performance Arts
Connect Korea’s internationally recognised martial art with performance. This option may appeal to students who want to develop a K-culture profile through taekwondo performance, physical expression and cultural presentation.
K-POP / Practical Dance
Pursue an academic direction centred on K-pop and practical dance. This pathway is suited to students interested in performance, movement, stage presentation and the expanding international audience for Korean popular culture.
K-Beauty & Cosmetics
Study within a pathway connected to Korea’s influential beauty and cosmetics sector. This option may suit students interested in K-beauty, cosmetics, personal care, beauty communication and the international development of Korean lifestyle industries.
Choose your major from the second year
FEU admits students through the Department of Global Convergence Studies rather than directly into one of the four K-culture majors. Students then select Media & Video Production, Taekwondo Performance Arts, K-POP / Practical Dance or K-Beauty & Cosmetics from the second year.
This structure is valuable for students who are attracted to Korean culture but want time to compare different creative and professional directions before specialising. Asia Pathway can help you understand the current major-selection process and confirm which option best matches your background and goals.
Study through FEU’s English Track
K-Culture Studies is listed by Far East University as available through both Korean and English tracks. International applicants selecting the English Track must meet FEU’s English-language requirement.
Accepted benchmarks include TOEFL iBT 59, TOEFL CBT 170, TOEFL PBT 497, IELTS 5.5 or New TEPS 202. An equivalent score from a nationally accredited English proficiency test may also be considered. Applicants recommended by an overseas school, university or institution with an FEU cooperation agreement may be considered for an exemption following university review.
Some university-wide activities, administrative processes or daily-life communication may still involve Korean. Asia Pathway will help each applicant confirm the current teaching arrangements and prepare for study and life in Korea.
Admission requirements
- Applicants and both parents must be foreign nationals.
- Dual citizens are not eligible under this international admission category.
- Applicants must have completed the equivalent of Korean primary and secondary education and hold, or expect to obtain, an eligible high-school graduation qualification.
- English Track applicants must provide an accepted English-language score unless FEU approves an exemption under its institutional-partner provisions.
- Academic records, graduation documents, nationality evidence, family-relation documents and other required materials are reviewed by Far East University.
Asia Pathway can review your academic and language background, identify missing documents and guide you through the application and student-visa process.
Tuition and scholarships
Tuition per semester: approximately USD 2,796.
The final tuition amount is confirmed by Far East University before enrolment. Students should also budget for the admission fee, accommodation, insurance, textbooks or specialist materials, visa-related expenses and everyday living costs.
Scholarship details for new and transfer students are announced separately by FEU. Asia Pathway can check the current scholarship conditions and help you understand the estimated tuition payable for your intake.
