Build practical business capability, then progress into strategic management, organisational learning and leadership. Stanley College’s Business and Management VET Pathway combines the BSB50120 Diploma of Business with the BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) in Perth.

Across two 52-week qualifications, students can move from managing everyday business functions to leading transformation, applied research, partnerships, financial strategy and workforce development. Two qualifications, one focused progression route

Stage 1 — BSB50120 Diploma of Business

Develop practical skills for middle-management, administrative and business-development responsibilities. The Diploma is suitable for students with limited vocational experience as well as professionals who want to strengthen their capability across a broad range of business functions.

International duration: 52 weeks, including 12 weeks of holidays.

Study delivery: Face-to-face classroom learning, Business Hub simulation, online learning and distance learning and assessment.

Prerequisite: No prerequisite qualification is required.

Stage 2 — BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning)

Advance into strategic leadership and organisational learning. You will learn to lead innovative thinking, initiate applied research, support transformation, develop workforce learning strategies, improve organisational performance and build collaborative partnerships.

International duration: 52 weeks, including 12 weeks of holidays.

Study delivery: Face-to-face classroom learning, Business Hub simulation and distance learning and assessment.

Progression requirement: A recognised diploma, advanced diploma or bachelor’s degree in any field, or at least three years of relevant senior management or leadership experience.

Program at a glance

Location: West Perth Campus, Outram Street, Western Australia.

Total pathway duration: 104 weeks, including scheduled holidays, when both qualifications are completed in sequence.

Typical timetable: Classes are rostered across two and a half days per week with a self-study component. Full-time students attend at least 20 scheduled contact hours per week.

Academic: Completion of Australian Year 12 or an equivalent qualification.

English: Upper-intermediate English, IELTS Academic or General Training 5.5, TOEFL iBT 51–66, PTE Academic 39, Cambridge English 162, OET C, Duolingo 95–100, CEFR or Oxford Test B2, CELPIP General 6, LANGUAGECERT Academic 54, Michigan English Test 49, or an eligible Australian Certificate III-level qualification of at least 26 weeks or above.

Graduate Diploma progression

Academic: Completion of a recognised degree, diploma or advanced diploma, or an equivalent qualification.

Alternative experience route: At least three years of relevant work experience in a senior management or leadership position may satisfy the prerequisite route.

English: Upper-intermediate English, IELTS Academic or General Training 6.0, TOEFL iBT 67–80, PTE Academic 47, Cambridge English 169, OET C, Duolingo 105–115, CEFR or Oxford Test B2, CELPIP General 7, LANGUAGECERT Academic 61, Michigan English Test 53, or an eligible Australian Diploma-level qualification or above.

After the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), eligible students may progress to Stanley College’s Master of Business. Admission and any recognition of prior learning are assessed under the receiving course requirements.

2026–2027 tuition in USD

Tuition fee: Approximately USD 7,024 per qualification, based on the listed international tuition of AUD 9,800.

Complete two-stage pathway tuition: Approximately USD 14,047 for both qualifications, based on total listed tuition of AUD 19,600.
