Global Business — Bachelor of Science

Prepare to work across countries, cultures and international markets. The curriculum covers areas such as international management, international business and trade, international marketing, organisational behaviour, innovation and entrepreneurship, and sustainable global business.

A Global Business Practicum gives student consulting teams the opportunity to apply their skills to real business challenges in an international setting. This pathway is a strong choice for students interested in multinational companies, international trade, consulting or building a business with global reach.

Marketing — Bachelor of Science

Learn how organisations understand consumers, create value and build relationships in local and global markets. Your studies develop knowledge in consumer behaviour, marketing research, international marketing, advertising, product development and marketing strategy.

Marketing students work with analysis, market simulations, research and business competitions. Graduates can pursue opportunities in brand management, advertising, public relations, market research, e-commerce, social media, sales, product management and international marketing.

Economics — Bachelor of Science

Explore how markets, policies and economic decisions shape businesses and societies. The program builds a foundation in economic theory, microeconomics, international economics and quantitative analysis, with business analytics subjects that may include Python programming and data mining.

This pathway suits students who enjoy working with evidence, identifying patterns and explaining complex economic issues. It can lead toward careers in banking, consulting, research, government and international organisations, as well as postgraduate study.

Management — Bachelor of Science

Choose one of three focused Management options and develop the strategic, technical and interpersonal skills to lead teams, projects and organisations.

Business Analytics: Combine business, management and finance with statistics, data analytics and computer programming. Core study includes Python programming for business, business statistics, database management, data mining and applied business analytics.

Supply Chain and Information Management: Study global logistics, transportation, procurement, information systems, operations and the movement of materials and information between suppliers, organisations and customers.

Entrepreneurship: Learn to identify opportunities and move a venture from concept to implementation. The program develops skills in business planning, budgeting, financing, team leadership, marketing and entrepreneurial project management.

Degree and study structure

Duration: Four years of full-time undergraduate study.

Degree award: Students who successfully satisfy all graduation requirements receive bachelor’s degrees from both Wenzhou-Kean University and Kean University.

Business choices: Global Business B.S., Marketing B.S., Economics B.S., or Management B.S. with an option in Business Analytics, Supply Chain and Information Management, or Entrepreneurship.

International admission requirements

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a foreign passport and must have completed high school before enrolment. Students who are still finishing high school may apply with a pre-graduation certificate.

English-language requirements

International applicants whose first language is not English normally need a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 79, TOEFL paper-based score of 550, IELTS score of 6.0 or Duolingo English Test score of 105.

Scholarships for international students

Strong applicants can compete for a freshman scholarship worth 30% or 60% of annual tuition. Awards can be renewed each year across the four-year program, subject to WKU’s annual review.
